So where do you go this week? All of a sudden, Arsenal’s opening salvo of games don’t look so easy, and Chelsea look second favourites ahead of their trip to City. It seems safe to assume that both Diego Costa and Alexis Sanchez are fit and available for action. Both played an unexpected part in gameweek one – albeit to little affect. Sanchez to start this week? And Walcott? Those who picked either player ahead of gameweek one will be hopeful of some game time, particularly following the West Ham defeat.

The fact that Costa made the starting XI against Swansea suggests he should line up against City. I’m starting to wonder whether this hamstring problem exists at all. It’s just a Mourinho-invented smokescreen to confuse people isn’t it? Who’d be a Chelsea doctor?

And the last of the big three – Sergio Aguero. He made an appearance in gameweek one too. By the time he came on City were 3-0 up and cruising. Those who picked Aguero from the outset will be pleased to see his name on the team sheet, and maybe the importance of the fixture will see him promoted to the starting XI on Sunday.

It’s Liverpool and United with very winnable games against Villa and Bournemouth who look most likely to make it two clean sheets on the trot. You’d think that Sunderland would be working on their defensive shape this week, so lets not be too hasty in ditching Van Aanholt, Pantillimon etc just yet. A three game run of Norwich, Swansea then Villa still has shut-out potential. And lets not forget, they did score two against Leicester, so their attacking options are still worth looking at.

And be wary that it all kicks off on Friday night. You’ve got the EDL to thanks for that.
