So far, so good on the Diego Costa front. In as much as there has been no bad news out of the Chelsea camp ahead of the weekend’s game against QPR – a game in which you really, really want him to play if you still have him in your team. He could fill his boots against QPR’s defence, although it is fair to say that Harry Redknapp’s men have shown signs of improvement in the last few weeks, particularly going forward. Charlie Austin started slowly, but his double against Villa on Monday night has promoted him into the top 10 striker standings and Eduardo Vargas has two goals and two assists in his last three games, and he should start again.

Arsenal are another team that offer up good triple chance scoring this weekend. They entertain Burnley at the Emirates. Alexis Sanchez could make it three consecutive double figure scores with a couple of goals and/or assists. Arsenal could climb into the top four for the first time this season with a win, and the defence will be expecting to keep what would only be their third league clean sheet of the season. Calum Chambers and Nacho Monreal both come in at under £5 million and could be considered as a nice cheap swap option.

Burnley and QPR may be propping up the rest of the league, but it’s Villa who are fast becoming the whipping boys. They haven’t scored since mid September, and have only managed four in total. That’s as many as Nacer Chadli, who visits Villa with Spurs at the weekend. Spurs defenders may be worth hanging on to for another week given Villa’s defensive woes, and the likes of Chadli, Eriksen, Adebayor and Lamela should fancy their chances in front of goal.
