So, is replacing Diego Costa a smart move? Nine of the top ten Buckets managers have him in their teams. Only NaboombuDirtyYellows have survived without him. At no point has the Spanish striker appeared in the NDY 15. And they sit in a healthy third place with one manager of the month prize under their belts. So, it is possible score without him.

And most teams are going to have to if the latest rumours are to be believed. Not only did Costa miss Chelsea’s European tie in midweek, but there are now also reports he was rushed to hospital having picked up some kind of bug. He has an orange box next to his name. That’s a 50% chance of making the team for Sunday’s game against Manchester United. Some sources are telling us he’s already been ruled out.

But….we all know how those orange and yellow boxes can mean naff all, particularly when next to elite players names ahead of elite team clashes. Don’t be surprised if this is all a smokescreen to keep United on their toes. Remember, he wasn’t meant to play against Villa (I think), yet he did, and scored. If there was even the slightest chance of him being able to play some of the game against United, I doubt Mourinho would leave him out. Would he? I dunno. Annoying isn’t it?

Still, that switch to Aguero could work wonders. Imagine if he bangs another four in against West Ham on Saturday. If you’re lucky enough to have two free transfers at your disposal this week then you’re perfectly placed to make the change. Without money in the bank you’re probably going to have to make a double change to get the City striker. His price has risen by £0.2 million in the last week. His ownership, however, still only stands at just over 20%. That’s a third of the value of Costa’s percentage ownership. If Costa doesn’t play and Aguero does, and scores, you’d be gaining valuable points on those masses that decide to stick with the Spaniard.

Or you could ignore them both, pick Graziano Pelle and Dusan Tadic –  and sit back and relax.
