So will the fact that Liverpool are away at Manchester City bring to an end the unstoppable scoring run that Luis Suarez is on at the moment? Probably not. Manchester City could still win this game, scoring their usual hatful, and Suarez could still score his customary two or three goals. See, for instance, the Arsenal result from the Etihad a few weeks ago. I wouldn’t rule out another 6-3 with a Suarez hat trick. City’s shaky defence will have their work cut out against the best striker in the league at the moment. But equally, their talented forward line, even without Aguero, is more than capable of cutting through Liverpool’s defence, which itself, isn’t exactly watertight.

It’s worth highlighting Jordan Henderson’s contribution in recent weeks. He seems to have taken on Steven Gerrard’s role as chief creator in this Liverpool team. Henderson has provided three assists for the eight goals Liverpool have scored in their last two games, as well as scoring one himself. His 6.1 million price tag looks to be a bit of bargain at the moment. For as long as Suarez keeps on scoring, Henderson won’t be far away from being the one providing the assist.

Manchester City are spreading the goals around in the absence of Aguero. Their four against Fulham last week were scored and assisted by seven different players. You could take your pick of any three of Silva, Toure, Navas, Nasri or Negredo, and be fairly confident of at least one of them contributing a double figure score.

Or it could just end up being a 0-0.
