The penultimate week. A week in which Goodbutnosigurdsson finish with the highest weekly score for a record 6th time. And it may not be all in vain – all this tinkering – as they sit atop of the May monthly table. Although they do need to be careful. Another 16  points given up on transfers may work against them with Bermie United – chasing a record 3rd monthly win – and Fancy a Brouhaha? waiting in the wings.

A Pint of Fullers (United) look to have the title in the bag. Hedgehogs (City) should be far enough ahead of Pescara (Cheslea) to have achieved 2nd place. There’s still a battle for 4th. Panza didn’t make any ground on Les Canaris (Spurs) or (Your Ad Here) (Arsenal) this week, and may be out of the running. So Buckets mirrors the Premiership. Just 4th place to play for and 2 teams in it.

Danny Sturridge was the man of the week. Maybe Liverpool should take the £40 million they might get for Suarez. In the 3 games since his ban, Liverpool have picked up 7 points from 9, scored 9 goals and kept 2 clean sheets. Sturridge himself has scored 33 points. He’s only 7.3 million.

Wigan finally went. As did Mancini. For finishing 2nd. In 2 competitions. Rubbish. Interesting to note that the top 3 teams (if Chelsea finish 3rd) will all have new managers come next season’s start. That might make the Premiership interesting again.

  • Player of the week – Daniel Sturridge – 17 points. 6 in 4. And QPR to come on Sunday.
  • Bargain of the week – Kevin Mirallas – 12 points. A fine end ot his season. One for the wanted list?
  • Donkey of the week – Ramires – -2 points. The most costly of the 4 sendings off this week

Goal of the week

Time for a team goal.
