Bermie United win gameweek 25 with 76 points. A good start to the month. It’ a short game month and it puts them in pole position for the February award. It would be their second manager of the month award – and they’d be the first team to manage that this season. Their big scoring players were in amongst the points for the first time in weeks. West Ham have been on a bit of a slide in recent weeks, but a welcome 1-0 win against Swansea accumulated 18 points for Bermie. Marouane Fellaini scored a brace, his first goals in 10 weeks. Laurent Koscielny has been in and out of the Arsenal squad all season. This was only the 3rd time he scored more than 2 points – and Bermie had him also, alongside Chris Samba, who got his first of many (Harry hopes) clean sheets for QPR. That’s 4 clean sheets in 5 now for Rangers. Bottom of the league, yet the form defensive side.

The league hasn’t changed much. Note that 10 of the top 12 teams have stayed exactly where they were. The gap has closed slightly on A Pint Of Fullers. Pescara and Hedgehog Corpse seem to swapping places on a weekly basis. Uriah Rennie aren’t yo-yoing as much as they were and are pretty safe in 4th. It’s going to take an inspired captain choice or a calculated risk on a player coming in to form for the teams below to penetrate this top 4.

Goodbutnosigurdsson’s meteoric rise was halted somewhat this week. They’ve dropped back a place, but it could have been so different had they not left Jimmy Kebe and Mark Bunn on the bench. Our player and bargain of the week would have scored a combined total of 26 points. They would have gained an extra 24 points for Goodbutnosigurdsson. This would have put them in 11th place, and given them a great start to the month with 71 points. It’s probably the first tactical error they’ve made since the early part of the season.

  • Player of the week – Jimmy Kebe – 15 points. 4.6 million and 34 points in 4 weeks. Mn in form.
  • Bargain of the week – Mark Bunn – 11 points. Penalty save denies QPR much needed points.
  • Donkey of the week – Goran Popov – -2 points. Goran Sentov. Hahahahaha.

Goal of the week

A bumper week. But this should never have gone in. Aguero.
