Bermie United scored 59 points and win the Manager of the Week award. They’re very close to winning the Manager of the Month Award too. They currently sit in 3rd place in the November table, just behind Pescara and Release the Hounds. It’s the second Manager of the Week award for Bermie – the first team to achieve that this season. If they do top the November table – that’ll be their second monthly prize too.

In a fairly low scoring week, defences definitely came out on top. There were three goalless draws, and even Southampton managed a clean sheet. And I don’t suppose anyone, not even Jordi Gomez himself, would have had this week’s leading points scorer. (It was Jordi Gomez). Unsurprisingly, his hat trick against Reading earned him top bonus marks, and in completing his first full 90 minutes of the season, he’d quadrupled his score.

  • Player of the week – Jordi Gomez – 20 points. Probably the last you’ll hear of him all season.
  • Bargain of the week – Sebastian Bassong – 10 points. It was only a matter of time before on of the Norwich defenders claimed a weekly award.
  • Donkey of the week – John O’Shea – -1 points. Conceded 4 and booked.
