This is the week that decides the October Manager of the Month. And it’s basically in the bag for Les Canaris. They may be the only team with Mata, and the only ones to have stuck with Michu. There needs to be a massive swing of points. Uriah Rennie are the closest challengers. They’ll be relying on Hazard and not Mata, and for Arsenal not to put in a performance like they did last week against Norwich, or for that matter, like they did last night against Schalke.

I’m not going to blather on about clean sheets this week. What’s the point. The best defensive record in the league is Chelsea’s. That won’t stand this week, as the top two face each other. United go to the Bridge. Both teams more confident in their ability to score goals than stop them.

So who’s going to score goals? Spurs. They play Southampton. A game involving Southampton always involves goals. It’s normally the Saints Keeper picking the ball out of his net. They’ve used three keepers already this year, and none of them have kept a c***n s***t. So expect Defoe, Dempsey, Dembele, Lennon and maybe even Adebayor to come of the bench and get a goal or two this week. Reading haven’t kept any c***n s****s yet either. They’ve got Fulham this weekend – who may not be scoring for fun at the moment – but Berbatov is a player capable of getting four and five in a game if he’s in the mood – and he gets the service. And Wigan may find it hard to keep out West Ham. Kevin Nolan in particular, who is the fourth highest scoring midfielder. He has got four goals so far – probably from a combination of about 6 yards. But they all get you 5 fantasy points.
