Transfer Deadline Day

August 31, 2012

  • Transfer Deadline Day
  • Only transfers registered by 12 noon today will be eligible to play in this weekend’s matches. These players will be added to the game today. Other players will be added next week.
  • Where players transfer between Premier League clubs, these will be updated. Please remember that if it means you then have four players from one team, the next time you try and make transfers, you will need to make your squad comply with the rules of three per team

WAIT!! Don’t play that wildcard just yet!!!

  • Already happened in the last day or two – Adam Johnson and Steven Fletcher in at Sunderland. Moussa Dembele off to Spurs. Esteban Granero and Julio Cesar in at QPR.
  • Andy Carroll might start playing games. He’s gone to West Ham. Linking up with drinking buddy Kevin Nolan.
  • It still might be worth investing in Clint Dempsey – he ain’t going to Villa
  • Nigel De Jong will be breaking legs in Italy from now on. Off to AC Milan.
  • Kieran Richardson has gone to warm Fulham’s bench.
  • Filling that particular Mackem void is Danny Rose, on a loan deal from Spurs.
  • Van Der Vaart off to Hamburg. A big move out. That frees up 9 million quid if you’ve got him.
  • Berbatov to Fulham. No. Berbatov to Spurs. Berbatov somewhere. Don’t know yet.
  • Everton sign a Costa Rican called Bryan.
  • Marseille sign Joey Barton. Weird.
  • Juventus obviously on the pop last night. Looks like they’ve signed Nicklas Bendtner.
  • QPR’s ever-expanding squad gets a little fatter. Sam Magri (?) in from Portsmouth.
  • Liverpool continue to De-Dalglishify their squad. Charlie Adam will be much more at home amongst some fellow bad tacklers at Stoke.
  • Scott Sinclair to warm the Man City bench.
  • Mark Hughes drives a Mini.
  • Stephane M’Bia is a midfielder. He now plays for QPR. Someone ought to remind Mark Hughes you’re only allowed 11 men on the pitch at any one time.

OK. Any non Premier League players coming in now probably won’t be eligible until next week. Current Prem players with new clubs should be OK to transfer. But will the automatically walk in to the starting line up??

  • Man City have signed a proper right back. Maicon.
  • Berbat is ov to Fulham (Potential Sun headline). He’s back on the FPL transfer radar.
  • Spurs fans currently looking a bit smug on Sky Sports News. They’ve just signed Hugo Lloris.
  • Newcastle have just signed Messi. Good one.
  • Mass FPL transfer panic. Rocky Santa Cruise has fucked off to Malaga.
  • Pablo Hernandez in at Swansea. If he’s anything like Michu…
  • Maurice Edu escapes Rangers for Stoke
  • Aston Villa have signed someone called Jordan Bowery. I have no idea what he is, but he came from Chesterfield, so don’t get too excited
  • Southampton have signed a much sought winger called Gaston Ramirez. Wonder who he will be playing for next season
  • Javi Garcia signs for Man City. Random Spanish football player name generator. Wait a while on this one.
  • Some Belgian striker signing for Villa. Christian Benteke. Who hell he?
  • Liverpool look to have failed in their two favoured targets, Dempsey and Sturridge. Not news. The Liverpool fans aren’t on Sky Sports News anymore. They’ve gone home. Or out on the rob. Probably the latter.
  • Clint Dempsey has fallen on his feet and landed at Spurs.
  • Michael Essien in Madrid. Shame he’s left the Premier League. Great player.
  • City sign another player. A Serbian player – the new Nemanja Vidic apparently. An over-rated liability who can’t handle pacey attackers then. He’s called Metaja Nastasic.
  • West Brom have signed a left back. Goran Popov. Don’t worry about this.
  • Yossi Benayoun heading back to West Ham.
  • Stoke don’t have enough leg breakers in their squad, so they’ve signed Stephen N’Zonzi.
  • I’m going home.
