Team guides. Norwich City.

Key player – Grant Holt – 6.5m

Norwich’s top scorer last season, their captain, and the focal point of their attack. Also their most expensive player for this season, yet only valued at 6.5 million. Much of the attacking threat in the Norwich team comes in at between 5 and 6 million, and all are good, young and British. Holt will bag you the most fantasy points though.

New signing – Robert Snodgrass – 6m

Follows Johnny Howson and Bradley Johnson from Leeds, and deserves his crack at the Premier League. One of Leeds’ most consistent performers over the last few seasons, and won their player of the year award last season. Scored 13 goals from midfield, and could link up well with his old mates, particularly Howson.

Bargain buy – Johnny Howson – 5m

A lot to choose from. Howson came from Leeds, where he made his debut at 18, and became their club captain at 23. He was bought in January, and made 11 appearances for Norwich. This season could see him become a regular. I reckon he’s a good low to mid priced midfield option.

Avoid – Michael Turner – 4.5m

Paul Lambert chopped and changed the Norwich defence quite a lot last season, and this may have contributed to their failure to keep too many clean sheets. They’ve not really replaced the defenders that have left. Turner will bring a bit more stability to their back line, but he’s no Franco Baresi.
