Lots of points were scored by lots of teams this week because lots of popular players scored lots of goals. If they weren’t scoring lots of goals they were stopping lots of goals or assisting lots of goals, and in doing so scored lots of bonus points. No surprise as to who was this weeks best player – Yakubu – the first player to grab four in a game since the last player to do it – (Dzeko?). Yakubu has seven goals and six bonus points in five games – and still only costs 5.5 million. Not for much longer I expect. I don’t think any Bucketeers had him…..? Van Persie (again) scores double figures and becomes the first player to surpass the 100 point mark. Other than Van Persie and Yakubu, Gareth Bale has reached double figures for the fourth time in five weeks – scoring four, assisting five and picking up nine bonus points. His value has risen by 0.8 million in that time. Remember that Tottenham have two games in a week at the start of next month. Time to crowbar him in now before he gets too pricey? Me – I’ve already got him. And it’s thanks to him and RVP that I am now TOP OF THE LEAGUE….

…and being chased by Romeo’s Honda-van, who become the first team to score three weekly prizes. They win with a humongous 93 points. Tinkerman Honda-van has been at the subs again – making three this week. It’s a gamble that paid off – gaining them seven more points than they would have had by sticking with last week’s side.

  • Player of the week – Yakubu. Blackburn do score goals.
  • Bargain of the week – Robert Huth. A rare Stoke win and clean sheet post Europa
  • Donkey of the week – Gary Cahill. Debatably off after 20 minutes

Goal o’t weekend

Aguero’s goal. The first of the five. Although stay tuned for Balotelli’s shoulder goal, which came a close second. Turn the sound down too – unless you like ropey dubstep.

Oh dear, that’s a pity I love ropey dubstep.

Did you forget to pay the re-use fee Mr Buckets?

You what?
